Oppo R5 launched in India

Oppo R5, the mobile that was announced as the world’s thinnest mobile in October until it was overtaken by Vivo X5 Max, has been now launched in India. If you are one of the guys from subcontinent, then you can pre-order Oppo R5 starting January 1.

R5

The R5 has been priced at INR 29,990 or approximately $473 for which you get a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 2,000 mAh battery in a hand polished aluminium solid build. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with an octa-core CPU, and it runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Oppo’s Color Os 2.0.

But the USP of this smartphone would be naturally the thickness of mobile itself which is 4.85 mm – even though Vivo X5 Max is the slimmest in the world now, the difference would be barely noticeable.

R5 also supports the VOOC rapid charging technology as the Oppo N3, which is supposed to charge the phone from zero to 75% in just thirty minutes.
