Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 4A smartphone in India which will be the newest member to already successful Redmi series. The smartphone is priced at INR 5,999 making it the most affordable Xiaomi smartphone in the country.
The device features a 5 inch 720p display and has a polycarbonate body with a smooth matte finish. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, the device runs on an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and Adreno 308 GPU. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB on internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB. We get a 13MP rear camera with f2.2 aperture and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device has a 3120 mAh battery and runs on the latest MIUI 8 with certain features specific to only India. There is no fingerprint scanner in the device but we do have an IR blaster.
Redmi 4A will be available in Dark Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold colors on mi.com and Amazon India starting 12 noon on March 23, 2017.
