Xiaomi announces Redmi Note 4 in India

Following the tremendous success of RN3, Xiaomi today announced the Redmi Note 4 which could be a very worthy successor in every aspect. The device is available in three variants – 2GB/32GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB.

Redmi Note 4 has a unibody aluminium design with a 5.5 inch FHD display covered by 2.5D curved glass.  The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor which is fabricated using the 14nm process making it very power efficient. There is a 13MP camera with PDAF on the back and a 5MP camera for selfies. The phone runs on 4100 mAH battery to give a 20% increase in battery life over Redmi Note 3 as claimed by Xiaomi.  RN4 supports VoLTE and has a hybrid sim slot that accepts 2 sim cards or one sim card and a microSD card. The phone runs on MIUI 8 with Android Marshmallow 6 and a Nougat update could be in the works already.

The Redmi Note 4 will be available on mi.com and Flipkart starting January 23rd through flash sales. The pricing is INR 9,999 for the 2GB/32GB model, INR 10,999 for the 3GB/32GB model and INR 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
