Xiaomi launches AMAZFIT smartwatch

Huami, the sub-brand of Xiaomi has been producing great wearables like the Mi Band 1 and 2 in the last couple of years. Now the company has launched a fitness focused smartwatch called Amazfit which is the world’s first with a 28nm GPS sensor.

Amazfit

The Amazfit has a 1.34 inch circular display with a resolution of 300 x 300 running on a 1.4GHz processor and paired with 512mb RAM. It comes with 4GB internal memory and a heart rate sensor at the back just like Mi Band 2. The smartwatch can be used for 5 days with it’s 200 mAh battery and with the GPS turned off, the usage could go up to 11 days. Amazfit is IP67 certified which means the gadget should be able to keep water, sweat and dust at bay.

The body of Amazfit is made of ceramic to make it more durable and scratch resistant. The band is removable from the watch and can be replaced with any of the 22mm band of your choice. Amazfit is priced at around $120 which is a great deal for such a smartwatch and we hope it crosses the border of China to see an international launch.
