Xiaomi has announced the new budget smartphone – Redmi 3s which costs only around $105 and brings a full metal body with finger print scanner too.
The device is powered by an Octacore Snapdragon 430 processor where one pair is clocked at 1.1GHz and the other pair at 1.4GHz. The 16GB variant has 2GB RAM where as the 32GB variant comes with 3GB RAM, both variants having expandable storage. Redmi 3s has a 4,100 mAh battery which can easily keep the device running for 2 days at least given it has a 5inch 720p screen and power efficient processor.
Redmi 3s is equipped with a 13MP rear camera that features PDAF, manual mode, HDR mode etc. The front cam is a 5MP unit with f/2.2 aperture size and face recognition. On connectivity side, the Redmi 3S comes with 4G LTE connectivity, infrared and Bluetooth 4.1. The device will be available only in China as of now but is expected to hit neighboring countries like India too.
