Lenovo, the leading PC and tablets maker announced their new range of gaming laptops – Legion Legion Y520 and Y720. This new brand will be the dedicated series of laptops designed for casual and performance gamers who are on-the-go. Both the laptops feature FHD screen, 7th Gen Intel® Core i7 CPU, latest NVIDIA discrete graphics cards, optional backlit keyboards and efficient cooling technology to provide a superior gaming experience.
Legion Y520 has an aluminum-brushed body and weighs less than 2.5 kgs. It features 2 x 2W Harman™ speakers and Dolby Audio™ Premium for the outstanding sound experience even without headphones. To facilitate gaming at night or in low-lit conditions, the Y520 comes with an optional red backlit keyboard. The laptop comes with 128GB of PCIe SSD storage and 1TB of HDD storage, 8GB or 16GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with 4GB of GDDR5 memory.
Legion Y720 has an all-metal body and is the world’s first laptop to come with Dolby Atmos bringing an enhanced sense of depth and detail to the overall gaming experience. You get 16GB of RAM, 2TB of HDD storage and 256GB of SSD storage and Nvidia GeForce 1060 with 6GB of GDDR5 memory to take care of the intensive gaming. The laptop weighs 2.95Kgs and has improved thermal design that effectively dissipates heat via dual metal fans and rear air vents. Y720 is also the India’s first Oculus certified VR-ready machine which allows you to plug a VR headset into the HDMI port and you’re set for a riveting experience.
The Legion laptops feature Lenovo’s Nerve Sense through which gamers can easily customize settings such as audio, active keys, cooling, and network priority. It also allows them to record highlights for replaying or uploading to streaming sites. As part of the Legion gaming kit, gamers get a Y gaming armored backpack to enjoy mobile gaming wherever they go. The Y gaming optical mouse and Y gaming stereo headset are also available at an additional cost.
