Xiaomi, the leading smartphone brand in India has launched its latest flagship device – the Mi 10 5G. After focusing only on Redmi devices and then introducing Poco for the sub-continent, the company has gone ahead and launched a device from the “Mi” series.
Mi 10 5G comes with a 6.67 inches 3D curved E3 AMOLED edge-to-edge display with TrueColor technology, allowing it to reproduce pictures with a high degree of color accuracy. The device is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 both at the front and the back. The display has a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz for fluid user experience.
The device is powered by the latest Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 865 chipset with eight Kryo 585 cores as expected from this year’s flagship devices. On the memory side, there is 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It also includes LiquidCool 2.0 – an advanced cooling system consisting of a large vapor chamber, as well as multi-layer graphite and graphene stacks that dissipate heat to ensure sustained peak performance.
However, the main feature of the device is a large 108MP camera sensor at the back which is part of the Quad cam setup consisting of a 13MP Ultra-wide camera, 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP dedicated macro camera. The primary camera can support up to 8K 30fps video recording which is an incredible feature for video enthusiasts. There is no telephoto lens which is quite disappointing at this price range and honestly, we prefer it over the dept or macro camera sensors on a flagship. On the front, there is a 20MP camera for selfies that comes with AI modes for beauty and portraits.
Mi 10 comes has a large 4780mAh battery and there is a 30W fast charger in-box. It also features the world’s fastest 30W wireless charging and supports 10W reverse wireless charging that can be used for charging other devices.
Mi 10 5G will be available in two color variants – Twilight Grey and Coral Green. You get the options of either 8GB+128GB or 8GB +256GB priced at INR 49,999 and INR 54,999 respectively on Mi.com, Mi Homes, Amazon.in, and offline retail partners. The pre-orders get a free Mi Wireless Power Bank 10000mAh worth INR 2,499.
