As expected Lenovo has announced two new phones – Moto Z and Moto Z Force at Lenovo Tech World. Both the devices are very similar except the battery and shatter proof screen.
Moto Z:
The device is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM with 32 or 64GB storage. The device itself is 5.2mm thin and made of aircraft grade aluminum and stainless steel. It has a 5.5″ QHD AMOLED screen, 13MP rear camera and 5MP selfie snapper and a fingerprint scanner. The phone has 2,600 mAh battery which supports quick charging – up to 8 hours usage with only 15 minutes of charging. There is a USB Type-C connector which is used for both charging and for connecting earphones/headphones since there is no 3.5mm audio jack.
Moto Z Force:
The device is nearly same as the previous one but with a thicker body due to large capacity battery and a shatter-proof display. The phone is 6.99mm thick, has a 3,500 mAh battery and a 21MP high resolution camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and Laser autofocus and OIS. As with Moto Z, even this device does not feature 3.5mm headset jack and only has Type-C connector.
Both the phones can be coupled with Moto Mods which is a new modular kind of feature from Lenovo. These Moto mods can be attached to the new Moto devices using magnets at the back and the convert the phones into a projector, boombox or a powerhouse battery.
