Oppo today announced the mid-ranger A37 which is a new addition to it’s A-series but focused on photography with 8MP/5MP camera duo. The Oppo A37 is priced around $199 which varies based on the global markets.
The Oppo A37 has a 5 inch 720p IPS LCD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and has 2.5D curved edges. The device is powered by Snapdragon 410 which is a quad core A53 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU. There is 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16GB that is expandable by up to 128GB using the dedicated memory card slot provided in sim tray. The device weighs 136g with a 2,630mAh battery and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with Color OS 3.0.
The cameras are said to be the main focus of this device which are capable of great low light photography because of the 1.4μm pixel size. We have an 8MP rear camera with a f/2.2 lens and a 5MP front camera for selfies with f/2.4 lens. The camera has options like Beautify 4.0 which provides different modes for different skin tones to produce natural looking shots. There is also the selfie flash which enables good lighting for selfies by making the screen brighter and Ultra HD mode which can produce images of 24MP from the rear camera.
Oppo A37 is available in Singapore for $215 as of now with other markets to follow soon.
