Samsung has started the new year by announcing three smartphones which were rumored to be announced in a special event but were listed by their site. The three new smartphones are members of its 2017 A series – Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017), A5(2017) and A3 (2017).
Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) :
The top end model of the three smartphones comes with a 5.7 inch FullHD Super AMOLED screen and a 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor paired with 3GB RAM on Samsung’s own Exynos chipset. The selling point of this smartphone would be the 16MP rear camera and 16MP front camera both sporting F/1.9 lenses for better pictures. Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) is powered by a 3,600 mAh battery with Fast charging support and has an internal storage of 32GB that can be expanded using a microSD card. It will be available in Black, Blue, Pink and Gold color options.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) :
Galaxy A5 sports the same chipset as A7, but comes with a 5.2 inch FullHD Super AMOLED screen. The phone has same 16MP front and back snappers but loses the F/1.9 aperture. The device is powered by a 3,000mAh with support for Fast charging. The internal storage is 32GB that can be expanded using a microSD card. Color options are once more Black, Blue, Pink and Gold.
Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) :
Galaxy A3 comes with a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display of 720p resolution making it the smallest of the three models. The device is powered by a slower 1.6GHz octa-core CPU paired with 2GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB. There is 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP selfie camera both with an aperture of F/1.9. There is a 2,350mAh battery with no support for fast charging we guess.
All the three smartphones are IP68 certified making them dust and water resistant. The devices feature fingerprint scanner in the form of home buttons. They run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and support Samsung Pay and LTE connectivity.
