Samsung Galaxy J2 has been officially launched and the device is now listed on the Samsung India’s website. The phone will be available starting next week with a price tag of INR 9,750 ($145).
The device which runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box is powered by an unnamed quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 1.5GB RAM and has a 5 inch HD sAMOLED screen. There is a 8MP rear camera and a 5MP camera at the front for selfies, 8GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB and all these backed by a 2,600 mAh battery. Galaxy J2 is available in Gold, Black, and White color options.
Galaxy J2 has a unique glowing ring at the back called Smart Glow which can be customized for various contacts, apps or phone usage alerts so that the type of notification is known even without looking at the mobile. The device also has something called Turbo Speed Technology (TST) that is a performance enhancement, achieved by “using the least amount of resources to complete a particular task in the fastest time.” Samsung claims that, apps load up to 40% faster when compared to devices with double the RAM using this technology.
