Zungle is the new sunglasses company that has entered market with their unique bone-conduction headphone glasses – Panther. The company has started a campaign on Kickstarter for Panther and have already reached well over the goal.
The bone conduction method allows you to listen to music without plugging in any earphones and thereby keeping the ears open for external sound. There’s Bluetooth audio playback, hands-free calling with a built-in mic and audio controls. The battery life is about 4 hours of music playback after which the they need to be charged for an hour.
Bone conduction speaker in the Panther transmits sound waves to the skull via vibrations which lets the user to listen to external environment even when listening to music, which is safer than earphones or headphones that block out sound completely from outside.
Panther will be available in 5 different colors of frames – black, white, grey, neon green and neon pink. The frames are also designed to replace the default lenses with Oakley’s Frogskin lenses which are available in various colors and provide 100% UV400 protection. At the time of this article, the sunglasses is priced at $109 as part of the Kickstarter campaign.
