Both the watches are IP68 certified just like the latest Samsung smartphones to have water and dust protection. They are available in either only Bluetooth or Bluetooth + LTE connectivity options and can be used for wireless payments featuring both NFC and MST. The display features an active Always-on display mode which can use any of the 16 million colors to show full color watch face and is covered with Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass SR+ to provide protection which is said to be as tough as sapphire glass.

Internally the watches are powered by 1GHz dual core CPUs with an internal memory of 4GB out of which up to 2GB can be used for storing music which can be played using the native music player within the watches since they have built-in loudspeakers!! Yes you heard it right! The new Gear S3 watches do have speakers and feature altimeters, barometers, speedometers and GPS. There is a 380mAh battery that can keep the smartwatches running for up to four days and in order to provide longer battery life, it has different power saving modes.

The price of Gear S3 is unknown at the moment but looks like the watches will hit markets some time around October.
