Call for code’19, an initiative to make the change. Let’s code to change!

Earth, a beautiful blue circle and the most beautiful planet where living beings thrives is habitat for 7 billion humans and infinite number of other species. Our earth gives us everything we need to sustain for free and never take anything in return or using its resources. Despite of all the beautiful things earth has bestowed upon us, there are few that we cannot withstand.

We as humans wish that these horrifying instances may never happen but it is inevitable.

We humans have devised many methods to avoid such disasters but no matter how much we try it is inadequate. It is very much understood that there is very little that we can do when it comes to natural disasters, they will happen no matter what.

What is Call For Code?

Commit to the Cause. Push for Change.

What we humans can do is take an initiative to prepare ourselves for these disasters that will help greatly in reducing the number of casualties. One such effort is taken by IBM and David Clark cause where they are asking coders from the entire country to work towards a common goal of developing a platform that will devise solutions in the wake of natural disasters.Call for Code initiative support the developers to collaborate, build and deploy the solutions to the real world.

IBM calls all the coders across the country to participate in this effort to  build applications that improve disaster preparedness, build resilient communities, and safeguard the health and well-being of individuals and institutions.

How to participate?

Every individual can create their own team with no more than 5 members. One can look for team members via IBM Coder community. The team leader will submit all the details such as :

Getting started with #CallForCode

Every great product starts with a great idea. IBM doesn’t expect the coders to write the entire code for the solution from scratch in fact in this goal of creating solution against natural disasters you can then find resources that will assist you with the development. You can just start with an idea using the latest technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, or IoT.

Call for Code’18

Last year saw some incredible projects and great ideas from a number of coders from the entire country. The winner of the contest developed a great platform for effective communication during the time of these disasters.

The winner got a huge incentive but more than that they came up with an idea that was further developed into a platform that can now help for the betterment of human race.
