Next@Acer – Global Press conference 2021

Acer unveiled many new products including the Predator series during the annual Next@Acer Global Conference in a Livestream. There are upgrades to both laptops and desktops with the latest CPUs from Intel or AMD, the latest Nvidia GeForce and A series (the line formerly known as Quadro) GPUs, and the newest screens.

Gaming:

The Predator Orion 3000 (P03-630) is designed for gamers who are seeking the best-in-class hardware experience that a mid-tower rig can deliver. With an 11th Gen Intel® Core i7 Processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, GPU and up to 64 GB of 3200 Hz DDR4 memory, users can do it all—game, stream, and edit.

Acer Predator Orion

The Predator Orion 3000 (P03-630) will be available in North America in July starting at USD 1,199, and in EMEA in October starting at EUR 949.

The Nitro 50 (N50-120 [AMD] and N50-620 [Intel]) series is for gamers who want improvement across the board; better gameplay, extra features, and a more immersive experience. The desktop’s powerful processors—up to the AMD Ryzen 9 5900 Series desktop processor or the 11th Gen Intel® Core i7 processor—are also sufficient for powering graphics-intensive tasks such as content creation and video editing, which is supported by an NVIDIA GeForce® RTX 3060 Ti GPU

The Nitro 50 (N50-620) will be available in North America in July starting at USD 949; in EMEA in October starting at EUR 799; and in China in June, starting at RMB 5,599.

The Predator Triton 500 SE (PT516-51s) is a “special edition” notebook designed for gamers who want a machine capable of getting through both the latest AAA games and the workday. Powered by up to an 11th Gen Intel® Core i9 Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU and up to 64 GB of 3200 MHz DDR4 memory, the notebook offers more than enough gaming power—but at just 19.9 mm (0.78 in) thin with up to 12 hours of battery life and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus technology, gamers can easily slip it into a backpack or squeeze in a bit of work between matches.

Acer Predator Triton

Whether playing games or watching films, players will appreciate the Predator Triton 500 SE’s 16-inch 16:10 display with an 87% screen-to-body ratio and three-panel options, including a 165 Hz WQXGA LCD display; a 165 Hz WQXGA Mini LED panel with 1250 peak nits, and 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut; or a 240 Hz WQXGA IPS PolarBlack panel with a 3 ms response time and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut for an even smoother gameplay experience

The Predator Helios 500 (PH517-52) boasts up to an overclockable 11th Gen Intel® Core i9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU, and 64 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz memory, giving players more than enough power to take on all of the latest titles, while a pair of PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 and one SATA HDD means that the notebook has plenty of space for the next generation of games, too. Furthermore, a choice of displays lets players get the most out of this hardware. The Predator Helios 500 (PH517-52) will be available in North America in August starting at USD 2,499.99; in EMEA in June starting at EUR 2,499; and in China in August, starting at RMB 39,999.

Predator Connect X5

Designed for mobile PC gamers, the Predator Connect D5 5G Dongle is an accessory that unleashes the potential of a computer’s built-in Intel® Killer Network Solution via a USB 3.1 Type-C port. On top of providing blazing fast 5G speeds[5] and enabling a computer to be used as a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, the dongle prioritizes bandwidth allocation and reduces latency in order to improve a user’s overall gaming experience.

Predator Connect D5

The Predator Cestus 335 is an ergonomic gaming mouse with a PixArt 3370 sensor and 2,000 Hz polling rate, allowing every movement, shot, or heal to be placed with pinpoint precision. It features five color-coded DPI levels, capping out at 19,000 DPI, allowing players to easily set and cycle between sensitivity thresholds. For navigating content outside of games, a hyper-fast scroll button allows users to browse the web and scroll through forums at super speeds.

Acer Predator Cestus Gaming mouse

The new Acer Swift X (SFX14-41G​) notebook represents a new segment within the Swift portfolio, the first of its series to come powered with discrete graphics, all at an impressive 1.39 kg (3.06 lbs). Its NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU, based on NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, combined with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U Mobile Processor and 16 GB of RAM offers creative professionals such as video editors or photographers plenty of power. True to the Swift family, all this hardware has been fitted into a metal chassis just 17.9 mm (0.7 in) thin.

Monitors:

The Predator CG437K S is a massive 42.5-inch NVIDIA® G-SYNC Compatible gaming monitor with a UHD (3840×2160) display that strives to provide players with the most flexible experience possible, containing a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports that support the latest game consoles and allow for 4K 144 Hz with VRR using only a single cable. A USB hub offers a USB-B port, a pair of both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to support an array of peripherals, plus a USB Type-C (PD30W) port for good measure. Additionally, a built-in KVM switch simplifies the lives of those who juggle multiple PCs.

Acer Predator CG437K S Gaming monitor

The Predator CG437K S will be available in North America in November starting at USD 1,799.99; in EMEA in November starting at EUR 1,599; and in China in October, starting at RMB 9,999.

The Predator X38 S is a 2300R curved UWQHD+ (3840×1600) monitor boasting a DCI-P3 98% wide color gamut, Delta E<2 ratings, and VESA DisplayHDR 600 Certification, qualifications that allow for breathtakingly realistic images. Bright scenes glimmer while dark ones retain the rich shades of black that make little details—and hidden enemies—pop out, even when shrouded in shadows. Acer Predator X38 Gaming monitor

The Predator X38 S will be available in North America in September starting at USD 1,999.99; in EMEA in September starting at EUR 2,199; and in China in August, starting at RMB 14,999

The Predator X28 is a 28-inch UHD (3840×2160) monitor defined by a slim profile and narrow bezels that give it a refreshingly clean look. Its VESA DisplayHDR400 Certified Agile-Splendor IPS display offers a 155 Hz refresh rate (overclocked) with a 1 ms G-to-G response time, all super smooth thanks to NVIDIA G-SYNC and G-SYNC Esports Mode. The monitor also features the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer.

The Predator X28 will be available in North America in August starting at USD 1,299.99; in EMEA in August starting at EUR 1,199; and in China in July, starting at RMB 7,999.

Travel Notebooks:

Acer announced the new TravelMate P6 and Spin P6 notebook models with the latest 11th Gen Intel® Core i7 vPro® processors. A line of Windows 10 Pro notebooks engineered for professionals who frequently work on the road. Durable, secure, and powerful with long battery life, these notebooks are built to survive life on the go—and now include a convertible option with a Corning Gorilla® Glass® touch display that can be rotated 360 degrees for use in a presentation, tablet, notebook, and tent modes. They also sport a dockable Acer Active Stylus that works with Windows Ink for capturing notes and drawing.

Acer Travelmate P6

The notebook’s 14-inch, 16:10 FHD+ (1920 x 1200) display with narrow bezels provides extra screen real estate, allowing web pages, spreadsheets, and more to be viewed with less scrolling. An IPS panel with 100% sRGB color gamut coverage delivers accurate color at up to 170-degree viewing angles—additionally, viewing angles can be limited to 90 degrees by enabling the built-in Acer PrivacyPanel. Full-sized and back-lit, the keyboard makes typing comfortable and enables travelers to work in dim areas like airplane cabins. An ultra-responsive, scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass touchpad supports precise gesture control.

ConceptD 5 for Creators:

Acer Updates its ConceptD Creator Notebooks with 11th Gen Intel Core H-series Processors, NVIDIA RTX Professional Laptop GPUs, and 16-inch Displays.

ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro Notebooks

Designed for 2D and 3D design workflows, Acer’s all-metal ConceptD 5 notebooks (CN516-72G) pair the new 11th Gen Intel® Core H-series processors with up to an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. A  ConceptD 5 Pro (CN516-72P) is also available, featuring either the NVIDIA® RTX A5000 or NVIDIA® RTX A3000 Laptop GPU, for creators looking for best-in-class performance and capabilities. The RTX A5000 Laptop GPU empowers creators with the ability to bring ray tracing and AI to the largest rendering, 8K editing, and multi-app workflows.

Acer ConceptD 5 Pro

With up to 64 GB of DDR4 3200 Hz memory and 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSDs in RAID 0, they provide all the power and storage creators need for handling 4K video, multiple monitors, or 2D and 3D software rendering applications. Acer’s Vortex Flow, a triple-fan cooling layout (including a 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D Fan), is strategically organized to provide additional cooling to the CPU and GPU, allowing a bit more performance to be eked out under particularly demanding workloads.

Complementing all this power is a beautiful 16-inch 3K (3072×1920) PANTONE®-Validated display that supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, plus a color accuracy rating of Delta E<2. ConceptD 7 Ezel Convertible Notebook

The ConceptD 7 Ezel (CC715-72G), Acer’s flagship convertible creator notebook, has been updated to include the powerful new 11th Gen Intel® Core i7-11800H processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU. A  ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro (CC715-72P) is also available, featuring up to an Intel® Xeon® W-11955M processor and NVIDIA® RTX A5000 or A3000 Laptop GPUs for creators desiring even greater performance in professional applications and support.

Paired with up to 2 TB PCIe SSDs and up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, it is an ideal choice for creators who typically handle large files and often use multiple applications at once. ConceptD 3 Ezel Convertible and ConceptD 3 Notebooks

Acer also updated its ConceptD 3 line, which includes a 14-inch convertible (CC314-72G) and traditional (CN314-72G) designs. A ConceptD 3 Pro (CN314-72P) and ConceptD 3 Ezel Pro (CC314-72P) are also available, both featuring up to an Intel® Core i7 processor capable of reaching 4.6 GHz and NVIDIA T1200 Laptop GPU.

All of the ConceptD 3 form factors and sizes have been updated to include an 11th Gen Intel Core H-series processor. Commercial and consumer models will ship with various graphics options to suit a variety of workloads and specialties, including the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. All include a PCIe Gen 4 SSD and a Thunderbolt 4 port with power delivery enabled for super-fast charging.

The ConceptD 3 (CN314-72G) will be available in EMEA in September starting at EUR 1,299. The ConceptD 3 Ezel (CC314-73G) will be available in North America in December starting at USD 1,599.99; and in EMEA in September starting at EUR 1,499; and in China in September, starting at RMB 12,999.

Chromebooks:

Acer today announced four new Chromebook lines in a wide array of shapes and designs, including the industry’s first 17-inch Chromebook, the Acer Chromebook 317. They all come with the latest in-demand technology and features to meet the needs of consumers, students, and business users. 

The new Acer Chromebook 317 (CB317-1H) gives users all the workspace they need for enjoying streamed content and getting more done. The large FHD 17.3-inch display features an anti-glare coating and is surrounded by narrow bezels, bringing the vibrant visuals front and center. Plus, the huge display and optional webcam make group video chats and conference calls smoother for remote employees and anyone working or learning from home. Users wanting an even more flexible workspace can opt for a touchscreen model.

Acer Chromebook 317

Using the latest Intel® Celeron® processors and Intel® Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), the Acer Chromebook 317 delivers the performance and connectivity needed by students, businesses, and home users. In addition, the Chromebook provides up to 10 hours of battery life and has two full-function USB 3.2 Type-C ports, one on either side of the Chromebook, as well as other ports to ensure that users can connect devices and peripherals for streaming, fast transfers, additional display real estate and more.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 713 (CP713-3W) and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713, the world’s first Intel® Evo platform-verified Chromebooks, build on last year’s award-winning model by leveraging the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors to deliver cutting-edge Chromebook performance. Lauded for a premium design that combines an aluminum chassis with military-grade (U.S. MIL-STD 810H) durability in a convertible form factor, the updated model now features best-in-class connectivity via two full-function USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt™ 4 for data transfers, power delivery, and sharing video and audio to external displays. In addition, the new Chromebooks now provide the option for a fingerprint reader, allowing for more convenient user logins.
The Chromebooks feature a VertiView 13.5-inch display (2256×1504 resolution) that gives users 18% more vertical screen space, which translates to less scrolling. These visuals are complemented by DTS® Audio and a built-in smart amplifier for higher-quality, distortion-free sound.

Acer Chromebook Spin 713

Acer today also debuted two Chromebooks with 14-inch displays, a popular size that offers a balance of portability and productivity.

The Acer Chromebook 514 (CB514-1W/CB514-1WT) delivers maximum power and performance as well as the fast wake from sleep by using up to 11th Gen Intel Core processors. Students, as well as home and business users, can count on the notebook lasting all day: The device’s quick-charging battery delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.

The Acer Chromebook Enterprise 514 (CB514-1W/CB514-1WT) features the business capabilities of Chrome OS to provide employees with a modern experience and devices that stay fast, have built-in security, deploy quickly, and reduce the total cost of ownership. Acer Chromebook devices free IT from mundane administrative tasks, facilitate collaboration, and secure access to data and apps for the cloud workforce.

The ultraportable Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-2H/CB314-2HT) is designed for students seeking a Chromebook for classes, projects, and on-the-go activities. Weighing only 1.5 kg (3.31 lbs), the super-portable device provides everyday performance with its MediaTek MT8183 octa-core processor and a battery that delivers up to 15 hours[1] of uptime. It delivers immersive visuals with up to a 14-inch FHD IPS display (1920×1080) surrounded by narrow 7.3 mm (0.29 in) bezels, making the visuals even more vibrant and compelling.

Acer Chromebook 314

The Acer Chromebook 317 (CB317-1H) will be available in North America in June starting at USD 379.99, and in EMEA in June starting at EUR 399.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 713 (CP713-3W) will be available in North America in June starting at USD 699.99, and in EMEA in June starting at EUR 769.

The Acer Chromebook 514 (CB514-1W) will be available in North America in October starting at USD 599.99, and in EMEA in August starting at EUR 549.

The Acer Chromebook 314 (CB314-2H) will be available in North America in July starting at USD 269.99, and in EMEA in August starting at EUR 329.

Acer Group also announced that it has joined the RE100 initiative and also shared a pledge to achieve 100% renewable energy use by the year 2035. In addition, Acer declared its mission to help tackle environmental challenges with its “Earthion” platform that unites the strengths of its employees and supply chain partners and expands the circle of the impact of its sustainability efforts. These strengths and efforts are exemplified by the Aspire Vero notebook, its first sustainability-focused product under the Earthion platform.

SpatialLabs on ConceptD:

Acer today announced SpatialLabs, a suite of experiences empowered by cutting-edge optical solutions plus display and sensory technologies that bring the virtual world to a more physical dimension, delivering stereoscopic 3D experiences in a new, intuitive way. Content literally floats in front of the screen, allowing creators to examine their creations in real-time and 360 degrees—without the need for specialized glasses. First unveiled on a ConceptD notebook, SpatialLabs combines an eye-tracking stereo camera, a stereoscopic 3D display and real-time rendering technologies to give creators a new way to interact with their creations.

Acer also announced the SpatialLabs Developer Program for Unreal Engine developers interested in presenting projects with SpatialLabs. Those enrolled in the program will receive a ConceptD SpatialLabs prototype notebook, the first realization of the new experience.
