The drone’s controller is designed similar to a gaming console for easier usage and also has a built-in touchscreen so that user doesn’t have to use a smartphone to see the footage. The camera mounting system in the drone is a 3-axis stabilizer gimbal that can be removed and used as an handheld camera stabilizer too for shooting videos. GoPro in a way wants to compete in both the drone and handheld stabilizer categories with this single product.

Next up, let’s take a look at the latest action cameras launched by GoPro – Hero 5 Black and Session.

Hero 5

Hero 5 Black is the flagship offering from GoPro that can record 4K videos at 30 fps . It can capture 12 MP pictures (RAW as well), has a 2-inch touchscreen, built-in GPS, and it’s water resistant up to 10m. Hero 5 session can shoot only 10MP images and doesn’t include the GPS, Raw format support and even the touch screen. Both the action cameras include GoPro’s new “professional” electronic image stabilization for better footages. They even have voice control and can automatically back up the media to GoPro’s Plus cloud service that launches on September 29 and costs $4.99 per month.

The Karma drone is compatible with the Hero 4 as well as the newly announced Hero 5 series. It will be available on October 23 for $799 with no camera included, $999 with the Hero 5 Session, and $1,099 with the Hero 5 Black.

Hero 5 Black will cost $399 while the Session will go for $299 and will be available starting October 2.
