LeEco announces Le Pro 3 flagship in China

After a number of leaks over the last few days, LeEco has finally announced their latest flagship device, the Le Pro 3 packing a super fast Snapdragon 821 chipset. The device is a first from any Chinese company to feature SD821 chipset and 6GB RAM.

Le Pro 3 is a premium all-metal phone built with a brushed finish and the manufacturer claims a 98% metal content for the devices shell. The device comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD panel (Yes only 1080p!) covered with a 2.5D glass for protection, Snapdragon 821 chipset with a quad core processor clocked at 2.35GHz and 653 MHz on the Adreno 530 GPU. There are four variants of the device

  • 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM
  • 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM
  • 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM

Le Pro 3

There is a 16MP rear camera with 0.1 second PDAF focus and various modes, an 8MP front facing camera for selfies and video chat, runs on 4070mAh which supports 24W QuickCharge 2.0 and also features a finger print scanner at the back. The phone has only Type-C connector and no 3.5mm audio jack like the previous Le models announced couple of months ago.

Le Pro 3 will cost CNY 1799 ($270) for the 4GB + 32GB and CNY 1999 ($300) for 6GB + 64GB models where as CNY 2499 ($375) for 4GB + 64GB and CNY 2999 ($450) for 6GB + 128GB special “Zhang Yimou” Edition models.These are named after the popular Chinese film director and come with special content themed after the upcoming movie ‘Great Wall’, starring Matt Damon. The Le Pro 3 will go on sale on September 28 at 10AM, and reservations start today at 5PM in China.
