After numerous leaks, Vivo has finally unveiled their latest gaming smartphone, Vivo iQOO. The company has a caption saying “Monster Inside” and by the looks of it, iQOO might actually be a monster of a phone.
The device comes with a 6.41” OLED panel with a waterdrop notch and UD fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, there is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM while the storage can go up to 256GB. When it comes to gaming, the battery life is very significant and iQOO comes with a 44W fast-charging support that enables users to charge the phone to 50% of the 4000 mAh battery in just 15 miutes. The company also claims that around 85% in half hour and a full charge will be done in 45 minutes. But, if you are planning to get the 44W charging, it should be noted that the cheapest 6/128 GB memory variant will miss out on it.
Vivo iQOO also has “Super Liquid Cooling” which brings a vapor chamber to take care of the heat given it is a gaming phone. There also various smart features such as AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Game Turbo, under one service called Multi-Turbo to boost performance. This also enables boost app startup by 30%, frame rate with over 70%, and automatic switch between Wi-Fi and 4G for non-stop gaming. There is a triple camera setup on the back that has 13 MP wide-angle lens, a main 12 MP Sony IMX363 sensor with vivo’s own dual-pixel technology and a 2 MP depth sensor.
The Vivo iQOO will be available in Electric Blue or Lava Orange and starts at CNY2,998 ($450/€390) for the 6/128 GB, CNY3,298 ($490/€430) for the 8/128GB, and CNY4,298( $640/€563) for the 12/256 GB monster. The first flash sale is scheduled on March 6 at 10 AM local time in China.
